HIPDET university is purely an angli-saxon styled university. Each year we receive students from Nigeria, equitorial Guinea, Uganda, Zambia, USA etc.

These students come in either as fulltime students, academic study abroad students, exchange students or for the purposes of research.

Which ever category of student you fall under, we cordially invite you to become a part of our education community and very much hope that your stay with us will be a rewarding and enriching experience both academically and in terms of your personal life and development.

International Student Network

The International Student Network is a net work run by students, aiming to help you with your start at HIPDET and to encourage an active interchange between Cameroon and international students.

The International Student Network organizes a semester program with a wide variety of events such as excursions and short trips, sport tournaments, parties or weekly meetings at a local pub open to all international students of the institution.

It is the forth largest city in Cameroon easy to get to know. Cost of living is relatively low and transportation is easy to go.

Douala Where the institution's annex 1 campus is, is the economic capital of Cameroon and is a coastal city in southwest Cameroon. Inland from the Wouri River, La Pagode, or the Palace of the Kings Bell, dates from the German colonial period. Nearby, the Doual’art gallery exhibits art from Cameroon and across Africa. The Douala Maritime Museum explores the city’s history as a center of colonial trade and fishing. South of the city, Douala-Edéa Wildlife Reserve is home to elephants and crocodiles.

Even though we don’t yet have own accommodation, we normally arrange for accommodation for our international student from single bedroom to shared apartments at relatively cheap rates.
